Nathan Schneider on Building Democratic Governance on the Internet

We, the people, have given away our power. To reclaim our capacity to shape collective action democratically — in both online and “real world” spaces, we need to hone our democratic skills through practice. In this insightful podcast, activist-scholar Nathan Schneider argues that online spaces could be the birthing ground for a creative, radical and democratic renaissance. But to counter the “implicit feudalism” that is the norm on the Internet, will require progressive activists to heed the lessons of various social and decolonial movements throughout history, and to find the resolve to use technologies in creative ways.
