Chasing Time (Director’s Cut)
More than a climate documentary, Chasing Time is a meditation on stewardship across generations. As photographer James Balog concludes his 15-year Extreme Ice Survey project, the film invites viewers into a radically different relationship with time—one measured not by quarterly returns, election cycles, or news cycles, but by the slow unfolding of planetary processes and the responsibilities we inherit from those who came before us. Rather than relying on fear, outrage, or catastrophe narratives, it models a deeper response to ecological crisis: bearing witness, telling the truth, and passing wisdom forward. In the context of the Great Transition, the film exemplifies an emerging planetary culture grounded in long-term thinking, intergenerational responsibility, and a sacred regard for the living Earth.
