Amazonía 2041: A Vision From the Future

Amazonía 2041 is a visionary initiative of the Andes Amazon Fund, set in a future where extraction has ended and regeneration thrives in the Amazon Sacred Headwaters. Through a compelling 9-minute short film narrated by young Indigenous women, it outlines a successful 2041 scenario: 117 protected areas, 38 Indigenous lands titled, and nearly 33 million acres conserved across Ecuador and Peru . By placing Indigenous leadership and bioregional stewardship at the center, the initiative not only models ecological restoration but also reframes narratives—transforming hope into a working reality rooted in cultural renewal.

Alignment with Planet Project:
Amazonía 2041 aligns deeply with the Planet Project’s principles of interconnectedness, regenerative healing, and honoring Indigenous wisdom. By combining narrative visioning with tangible targets for land protection and governance, it provides a roadmap for co-creating resilient ecosystems and communities through an ecological and culturally grounded lens.
