Tide Earth SA upcycles ocean-bound plastic, gathered with the help of local communities, to create #tide ocean material® — an award-winning material resource that comes in the form of granules for plastic injection, yarn for textile applications, and filament for 3D printing. This upcycled plastic waste has been used to create high-quality products by reputable brands such as Maurice Lacroix, Tom Ford, Hugo Boss, Winter & Company or Yamamay. As of August 2022, Tide Earth SA reports that they have upcycled the equivalent of more than 30 million plastic bottles using a process that produces up to 80% less CO2 emissions than producing virgin plastics. They pay fair wages and work to ensure their products strictly comply to ethical and ecological standards such as the GRS (Global Recycle Standard).
