Ridwell
Make it simple to get rid of your stuff responsibly. Ridwell picks up your stuff at your front door and makes sure it gets sustainably reused or recycled. You know your stuff stays out of the landfill.
Ridwell started in 2018 when a father–son duo in Seattle struggled to responsibly recycle batteries and discovered a wider community problem. What began as a neighbor-to-neighbor “recycling carpool” evolved into a subscription-based service that picks up hard-to-recycle and reusable items—like plastic film, batteries, light bulbs, electronics, and textiles—from your doorstep. Ridwell vets specialized partners to convert these materials into new, usable products (e.g., decking from plastic film, drainage blocks from multilayer plastics) and confidently reports where everything goes. Operating in multiple U.S. cities (Seattle, Denver, Boulder, Bay Area, Minneapolis, Atlanta), Ridwell saves millions of pounds from landfills each year. Its model transforms everyday home behavior into systemic impact—making waste-awareness scalable, transparent, and accessible.
