New Stories
New Stories is helping pioneer one of the Great Transition’s most practical and overlooked frontiers: reimagining the places and social systems within which future culture can emerge. Working at the intersection of housing, community design, governance, and social innovation, the organization experiments with new models for creating regenerative neighborhoods that foster belonging, affordability, resilience, and human flourishing. While many change agents focus on transforming worldviews, policies, or economic systems, New Stories is prototyping the actual containers of daily life—homes, neighborhoods, and community governance structures—where new ways of being and relating can take root. In the language of the Three Horizons, its work occupies a vital Horizon 2 role at the intersection of Structure and Infrastructure, helping bridge today’s fragmented social arrangements and the more participatory, cooperative, and life-centered communities of a planetary culture. By demonstrating that regenerative ways of living are not merely ideals but practical realities that can be designed, built, and inhabited, New Stories contributes to the Planet Project’s vision of interconnectedness, stewardship, self-organizing social change, and the flourishing of all life.
