Living Cities Earth
Living Cities Earth is a global action-research network working to transform cities from engines of extraction into living systems that support human flourishing, ecological regeneration, and planetary wellbeing. Grounded in the belief that the deepest leverage point for systems change is cultural and worldview transformation, the initiative brings together city leaders, researchers, educators, technologists, and community builders around a simple but profound question: How do we human well together? Through its focus on people, places, planet, and purpose, Living Cities Earth seeks to cultivate regenerative cities and bioregions where relationships, meaning, stewardship, and shared responsibility become the foundation of governance and development. Rather than treating cities as machines to be optimized, it frames them as living ecosystems embedded within larger ecological and social systems. Its vision of nurturing thousands of interconnected regenerative cities reflects the Planet Project’s commitments to systems literacy, ecological stewardship, self-organizing social change, compassion, and the co-creation of a life-affirming planetary culture.
