Kate Raworth
Kate Raworth is an economist best known as the author of Doughnut Economics and co-founder of the Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL). Doughnut economics offers a radical re-framing of economics that assesses the health of an economy by the extent to which the needs of people are met without overshooting Earth’s ecological ceiling. Earlier in her career, Raworth worked promoting micro-enterprise development in Zanzibar, co-authored the United Nations Development Programme’s Human Development Report, and was a Senior Researcher at Oxfam. She is currently a Senior Research Associate, Tutor and Advisory Board member of the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford.
