Jeremy Lent
Jeremy Lent is a systems thinker, author, and leading advocate for the emergence of an ecological civilization. His distinctive contribution to the Great Transition is connecting transformation at the deepest level of worldview with the practical redesign of civilization itself. Through The Patterning Instinct and The Web of Meaning, Lent traces how the dominant worldview of separation helped produce today’s ecological and social crises and develops an alternative grounded in interconnectedness, systems science, and traditional wisdom. His 2026 book Ecocivilization carries that inquiry into Horizon 3, exploring how economics, governance, technology, cities, corporations, and humanity’s relationship with the living Earth might be reorganized around the flourishing of life. As founder of the Deep Transformation Network and a founding member of the Ecocivilization Coalition, Lent also works to turn this emerging worldview into a community of practice. His work closely reflects the Planet Project’s commitments to interconnectedness, truth-seeking, systems literacy, sacred regard for life, and the conscious transition toward a regenerative planetary civilization.
