Great Transition Stories is helping cultivate one of the most important yet often overlooked capacities of the Great Transition: the ability to imagine positive futures worth moving toward. Through storytelling, interviews, media, and community engagement, it amplifies narratives of people and communities already pioneering regenerative, just, and life-affirming alternatives to today’s dominant systems. While much transition work focuses on diagnosing crises, Great Transition Stories helps strengthen the cultural imagination needed to navigate beyond them. In the language of the Three Horizons, it serves as a bridge between emerging Horizon 3 possibilities and the wider public, making regenerative futures more visible, relatable, and achievable. Its work aligns strongly with the Planet Project’s commitments to cultural evolution, systems literacy, interconnectedness, and the co-creation of a thriving planetary future.
