Global Mayors Academy

The Global Mayors Academy is helping develop the leadership capacities needed for the Great Transition at one of its most important leverage points: cities. As climate disruption, inequality, migration, and technological change increasingly converge at the local level, cities are becoming laboratories for new approaches to governance and resilience. Rather than focusing on policy alone, the Academy cultivates systems thinking, adaptive leadership, and collaborative governance among the leaders stewarding these transitions. In the language of the Three Horizons, it strengthens the human capacity needed to bridge today’s institutions and the more participatory, resilient, and regenerative forms of governance now emerging. Its work aligns strongly with the Planet Project’s commitments to systems literacy, cooperation, and self-organizing transformation.
